The Tump Clump #60 - 18/06/2026 [5th Birthday Show]

Thanks for checking out my blog, and also maybe you are interested in the tracklisting for my radio show, The Tump Clump, which reached episode 60 and its 5th Birthday.  Its also the last show in the current format. For now.  Something else may come in the future, but I felt it a good time to end on a high whilst I still have energy, and put my efforts into something new.

Here is the waveform for the show.  Thought you might like to see it.  Spot the harsh noise.

I've had fun times in this dismal swamp!

I recorded one show from some woods up on Dartmoor.

Another show featured my live set from the Acid Morris party in Dartingotn.

I had a show full of exclusive tracks from favourite artists and pals.

I finally got around to doing an extended Christmas special after threatening it for the past 3 years.

So here be the tracklist for the finale.  A few familiar names to pay homage to the artists and labels I've discovered along the way, and also some new faces because that is exactly how it should be.  Lots of people I couldn't fit in that I wanted to, because there is always so much great sounds out there being created for you us to discover.

Maybe you are reading this and fancy putting your own show together in the vein of The Tump Clump. or something of your own DNA? Give it a go!

01 FAIL - Self-nemesis (When you’re a nail, everything starts to look like a hammer) - Inner Demon Records

Thank you to every artist and label who has featured on the show since it begun.  Its been a real journey over these 5 years, which began shortly after I moved to Devon and got in touch with SoundArt about possibly starting a show.  Its been an absolute pleasure of audio discovery and I hope for more in the future!

I will continue to update this blog with news on Soloman Tump's whereabouts, so its not a full abandonment.  :)

The Tump Clump #59 - 21/05/2026

**Edit**

Well it seems I wrote this but forgot to publish it.  Sorry!

Episode 59 of the Tump Clump comes hurtling at you like a wet sock from the basement.

Tonight I announced that this is the penultimate edition of the radio show in its current format.... time for me to try something different.  I have come to the realisation that I'm just not listening to, creating, or enjoying as much dismal  / noisy / droney sounds as I once was... and I feel a slight disconnect from the music I am playing.

Here is a newt I found under a slab in my garden

Perhaps because I've spent a lot of time listening to my former love of house/techno/electronica, and rekindling my passion for DJing.  So, coming soon to SoundArt radio, a new show from me, playing deep house / leftfield tech house / some outsider electronica... but all mixed from vinyl.  Some of you may enjoy that! Some maybe not.  But keeping true to myself, I feel its where I want to explore next. So keep an ear out for 'Dartmoog' coming soon.

So I may return to the Tump Clump in the future.  And as for Soloman Tump... I still have some unfinished sounds I am working on.  Its certainly not the end for that little project.

Here is tonights tracklisting.  Everything can be found on Bandcamp if you do a little search.  This months 'Noise Compilation of the Month' comes from Pukehammer Records who were having some issues with censorship on Bandcamp.  Booo.  They were looking at alternative hosting platforms when I last searched - I hope they find a new home.  They will soon release a follow up compilation which will hopefully feature a brand new Soloman Tump track.  Good luck in your quest!

I hope you enjoy the show.....

01 Lucidet - They Were Nameless (Noise for Dreamers) - Self Released
02 pestzone - we won't need eyes to see (third containment) - Inner Demon Records
03 CHEFKIRK - things inside of other things (humor, aggression, and fear) - Self Released
04 Concrete Colored Paint - Dead Trees Standing Still  (And Now Here) - nostalgie de la boue
05 Shaun Robert - elaborations (Self Released)

NOISE COMPILATION OF THE MONTH! 'Ecstatic Feedback' from Pukehammer Records
06 Super Heroes Club - Toy (Ecstatic Feedback) - Pukehammer Records
07 RACP - MT004 (Ecstatic Feedback) - Pukehammer Records

08 Sadnoise - Movement 1 - Triplets  (A Room of Dry Plants) - Self Released
09 Chelidon Frame - Cosmic Hypnosis (Framework) - Self Released
10 Dis och Dimma - Blott ormen funnit frid  ( I din tystnads lugn) - Mima Kass

Thank you for listening and hope to have your company again next month for the 5th birthday show

The Tump Clump #58 - 23/04/2026

It definitely feels like spring now.  The Oak tree at the end of the garden is starting to turn green, and there have been some newt sightings in the Tump family pond....

So now, a clutch of apologies.

1) Gravelly voice - plague acquired from kids. Thanks!

2) Pronounciation of various artist and track names once again. I shall never learn!

3) The inclusion of the Tump Wassail broadcast that was originally aired on SoundArt back in January when the Acid Morris took over the Things Happen Here venue for a night of rave and electronic fun.

A nice little collection of noises for you this month, starting off with recent new fun favourite cornish semiconductor corporation... I hope I can hear some more new sounds from this project soon! If you like the track, its available for free download at their bandcamp, so go seek it out.

The Dis och Dimma track is from the momumental Svartfåglar compilation that I recently purchased from Mima Kass - hours of lavish noise and live recordings in a truly dismal style.

Hope you enjoy this little collection as we steamroll towards episode 60... am thinking I might do something different for that.  And also, it crossed my mind, maybe it will be the last of The Tump Clump in its current format.  Perhaps a break to try something different?

01 cornish semiconductor corporation - from a forgotten lode (east wheal maid chalcopyrite trio)

02 Cumsleg Borenail - Dream Grunge (Wrapped In A Carpet And Kicked To Death)

03 Dis och Dimma - Gässen flyr hösten (Svartfåglar)

04 Kirril - 09-25 - 12-25 - 03 III

05 Worm Monolith - Fugue State - 02 Cave Dweller

06 Séraphitüs-Séraphîta + anna bortionist - numinous tapes IV - 02 lacunae - anna bortionist

07 Séraphitüs-Séraphîta + anna bortionist - numinous tapes IV - 03 peccávimus - Séraphitüs-Séraphîta

08 Soloman Tump - Live @ Do You Wassail? <SoundArt original Broadcast 17.01.26>

The Tump Clump #57 - 26/03/2026

O to the M to the G!

Throught darkness and filth I totally forgot to update the blog with the tracklist and stuff for the March Tump Clump! Thanks to the 2 people who nudged / reminded me. It proves that people do actually listen and are interested in the music that I play...

I recorded fresh after visiting SoundArt studios for the Water Is The Sun Ritual Fever album tour.  A fantastic evening, which started off with Exeter's own Al Fresco Skronk Squadron.  The sound built from a few sources, played out through various battery powered speakers that were subtly moved and adjusted across the performance to give your ears something fresh every now and then... samples looped and layered (including an electric toothbrush head) made for an interesting evening indeed!

Water Is The Sun are an exciting duo combining vintage tape manipulation, synths, samples and a ritual visual element. I was captivated by their performance as it ebbed and flowed through gentle strange passages and noisier energetic moments.  The Higher Close studios where SoundArt is based is also a great space for a performance, so check it out if you are in the area.

So here was the last selection:

01 Hideous Gomphidius - The Stench of a Foul Stinkhorn (Apparitions of the Sporeborn) - s/r

02 Nomad Tree - Enter the dark of Caverns (with Lee Riley) (Shadow Dance) - Aphelion Editions

03 Riders - Slow Horses (She Is Not Alone) - Eustress Tapes

04 Stephen Bishop - Grave Stele (Jerusalem Artichokes) - Opal Tapes

05 BLACKSMITH - Smithy (Blacksmith Shop in Burlington, N.D., 1880) - Destroy All Music

06 Carnivorous Plants - Phantoms (Copper) (And From That Moment Hell Entered My Heart)

07 German Army - Kaieteur Mist (Pyura Chilensis)

08 raxil4 - t (covet- 6 pieces for sampler, synth + reverb)

09 Hoodrat Messiah - Perennial - 01 Foxglove

10 aLICE kEMP - 9 Dreams In Erotic Mourning - 08 The Painting In The Chapel Under The Stairs

11 Edward - Voices of Spirits (March 2026 demo)

12  Soloman Tump - Random Loop for HW#7

Big up the expertly lit merch table that looked far too tempting, and im glad I purchased a bundle of tapes (including the Ritual Fever album, recommended!).  Until next time,....

The Tump Clump #56 - 26/02/26

Well this episode really crept up on me.

January felt like it took FOREVER, and February breezed by without a care in the world because I had been so dang busy with in real life stuff.  But, I think I managed to 'pull it out of the bag' because as ever there is some great music being created out by a whole raft of lovely folk from across our strange planet.

So generally a mixture of slightly old, new, and brand new, covering noise, drone, experimental electronics and even some guitar music this time (thanks SUERO).  The NOISE COMPILATION OF THE MONTTHHHH comes from the WITH LOVE AND NOISE fundraising compilation courtesy of Blacksmith Noise Records wihch I spoke about already in this blog - pulling together essential funds for Mima Kass essential health care but also, in the spirit of Mima Kass, providing an amazing platford for 180+ projects to come together and make some noises.  It was a pleasure to be a part of this, and also to discover loads of new artists. So 3 tracks from the release this month, and because there are so many excellent choices, maybe some more next month too.

I also included a couple more tracks from the recent Eggy Tapes 4xWAY split - both from Romxn to end out the show, because this was another sort-of compilation that was also excellent.  The collaborative power of noise artists is where it truly shines for me, and the communities across the globe always seem to come together and form these powerful statements for all sorts of different reasons.  So support the artists and the labels and enjoy this lot:

01 SAKOSTAMU - Abu Tor (Break Down) - Brachliegen Tapes

02 SUERO - the mima (WITH LOVE AND NOISE) - Blacksmith Noise Records

03 CHEFKIRK - Meal of Glory! (say hello to my suffering) - s/r

04 knifedoutofexistence - Once Acknowledged (Objects That Once Breathed) - s/r

05 cornish semiconductor corporation - 220 below adit (Techno From Mine Waste) - s/r

06 Soloman Tump - 1 minute for Autohypnosis - coming soon....

07 Séraphitüs-Séraphîta - Vargtimmen (Hour of the Wolf) (WITH LOVE AND NOISE) - Blacksmith Noise Records

08 PERCIPIENT - Dr Kruvajan (WITH LOVE AND NOISE) - Blacksmith Noise Records

09 Disgrace - END OF YEAR HARSH NOISE (JULY-DECEMBER 2025) - 07 Zk 1.wav (december 17)

10 Romxn - Bottom Lines (4-way split) - Eggy Tapes

11 Romxn - Exile (4-way split) - Eggy Tapes

You can listen to the show here - https://www.mixcloud.com/Soundart_Radio/the-tump-clump-edition-56-260226/

And if you are feeling like a super person, you can click the SoundArt Radio website here throw them a few coins to support the cause! Thanks for listening and we do it all again in 4 weeks time :)

The Tump Clump #54 - 25/12/2025

In the spirit of the season of giving, I present to you a 2 hour "festive" edition of The Tump Clump.

No gimmicks, no extra special treats, just 2 hours of dismal sounds to assist with powering us through the dark months and the silly season.

The elves and piskies at SoundArt Radio saw it fit to first broadcast the show on Christmas Day nonetheless, and as per usual you can now find it archived on Mixcloud here

So as I say, nothing particularly Christmassy, just a chance to dig a little deeper in the vaults and pick out a few slightly longer tracks than usual, and maybe play a few bits from my favourite releases and artists of 2025 and the past few years,

A nice offering of the usual blend of drone, noise, experimental electronics and anything else that takes my fancy.  Don't expect any nice twinkling melodies or catchy tunes here im afraid.

The Tump Clump #54 - 25/12/25

Metgumbnerbone - Hoblin's Ebe (Anthropoligical Field Recordings For The Dispossessed) - Café Europa 2020.

LORN - MAROONED (Vessel LP), Self Released 2015.

Hoodrah Messiah - Smooth Sailing Divorce Radio, (Split w/ The Owl), Outsider Industries 2025.

NOISE COMPILATION OF THE MONTH (Part 1, and not really a compilation, but feels like it given     its HUGE) - a 4-way Split from Distraxi, Monika Badly, Romxn, Noise {Hz}.  Over 100 minutes of searing noises and pain and doomy harshness.  Frequent listeners of the show will know im a big fan of these artists as well as the Eggy Tapes project so this had to feature....

Distraxi - Hicksite Waiting Outdoors (4-way split ) - Eggy Tapes 2025.

Monika Badly - The Forest At Night (4-way split) - Eggy Tapes 2025.

Sebastian Tomb - Bangles (Homicide Costume), Self Released 2025.

LEE RILEY - UNDOING THESE KNOTTED TIMES (FROM HERE WE ARE NOWHERE LP) - Eyeless Records 2023.

RELEASE OF THE YEAR - The accolade goes to this wonderfully dark album that surprises me every time I listen to it.  A dark dismal soundtrack to a horror movie that needs to exist.  Twists and turns all along the way, sounding massive and deadly all at once.  Possibly also on my LABEL OF THE YEAR if I were to have one. Fencepest, take a bow.  or don't.

fencepest - bloom_I (bloom & decay), Inner Demons Records 2025.

La Brea Pulpit - Bluntdestroyer (Anandamide Aberration), Liquid Library 2025.

O Ratel Ratel - Zoölogie (Zomerzonde), Audio. Visuals. Atmosphere 2017.

Jay Tripwire - Hoia Baciu Forest (For David Lynch), Self Released 2024.

NOISE COMPILATION OF THE MONTH (Part 2) - Adventurous Music 5th Anniversary Compilation - from Leipzig, Germany.

Laure Boer & Conure - Midtown Sea (AM 5th Anniversary) - AM 2024.

SUFRD & fencepost - A88SRV3T4MR (AM 5th Anniversary) - AM 2024.

(I thought Fencepest was the same as Fencepost but its not - but it kinda of is! Fencepost +                       Pestzone = Fencepest, so this is a different collaborative offering from FP).

Shaun Robert - expel (unbecoming), Self Released, 2015.

Su Sous Toulouse en Rouge - Gumbo-Limbo (Eadem Mutata Resurgo), Forever Escaping Boredom, 2024.

Trou Aux Rats - Mes mains sur ta seconde peau de cuir (Le Cloaque Apres La Romance), At War With False Noise, 2020.

So thats it for 2025, another year ticked off.  Proud to have supported all these artists and labels in their quests for bringing new sounds to the world.  I shall try again in 2026.

The Tump Clump #53 - 04/12/25

This month I decided to raid the vinyl archives and do a totally turntable mix.  I have been playing a lot more techno/house recently, I even visiting Exeter Dance Music Record Fayre (hosted by Total Tunes Records of Torquay, apologies for the Facebook link) which was held at Bomba a couple of weekends back. Nice to get back into "mixing" and exploring my club tendencies again. Not everything in life has to be noise.

So here's this months offering, a collection of things purchased, traded or gifted that have joined my collection over the years:

Necro Deathmort - Channel Fever (Distraction Records 2014) 12"

Ambulance - Antiques Roadshow (Planet Mu 2002) 7" single

Sly & The Family Drone - Tsukiji (Feeding Tube Records 2020) 12"

Shaun Robert - Envelope (The institute of Alien Research 2015) 7" single

Justice Yeldham - Fresh Balls [excerpt] (Feeding Tube Records 2019) 12"

Ekoplekz - Ekztrakz (Self released 2022) - not sure which side 1 or 2 as its an unlabelled 7" lathe cut. Nothing on the run-out groove either of course.  Limited edition number 11 of 30.

Lucy & Aaron - Trueno (Hanson Records 2021) 12"

The Fear Ratio - arel (Kasm 2015) 10"

O.S.T - Iring (Emanate Records 2000) 12"

Pselodux - Eramer2 (8-bit Records 2002) 12"

qebrµs - ⊶⊑ ♉ ♋ ☮ ♋ ♉⊒⊷ (Love Love Records 2017) - although this 12" is from the 2024 issue, originally this was CD only. Huge thanks to LoveLove for reissuing this one (with proceeds going to the family) - long time fans may remember I interviewed qebrµs for SnareRush Zine a few years back, shorly before they passed from this plane.

BLACKCLOUDSUMMONER - My Purest Heart To You (Nim_Brut 2021) Ltd 12" lathe cut.

The Mike Sammes Singers - Wombling Merry Christmas (Music For Pleasure 1975) 7" single - yes i'm aware I played it at the wrong speed.  It needed to be dismal.  A fun track and still not sure how I acquired this but there you go.

Outro: Some Soloman Tump live Drone stuff to fill out the allocated 60 mins :)

It was fun to dig through the archives and play some different stuff again - still fairly dismal but maybe not quite as noisy as the show sometimes gets.  I guess a slight reflection on the music I buy on vinyl - more electronic based / club adjacent / leftfield, rather than drone/noise.

Well thats it for The Tump Clump in 2025.  Another year ticked off and I shall return in 2026 for perhaps more of the same or something slightly different - havn't quite decided yet.  Thank you for tuning in and see you again in some capacity in the next one.

The Tump Clump #52 - 06/11/25

Episode 52 of the Tump Clump Radio show features a brevvy of new music and a live session from yours truly - a practice recording made ahead of my recent Muhmur Radio appearance.

Made with the same setup that was used on the live broadcast, some similar results but some differences too... listen to them both and see if you can spot the differences?! The beauty of improvisation I guess.

Tonights show starts with a couple of tracks from a split tape I received in a recent trade - thanks to Ville of Finland for that.  Check out Harva Tapes if you want to hear more.

Then something from a new Leeds based act called Wire Mothers - intrigueing gothic noise indeed - hope to hear more from this project soon.

Paul Harrison was kind enough to send me his latest albums - so tonight I played a track from Light Step which was refreshingly synth heavy and quite "easy" listening compared to some work I have heard from him.  Great stuff.

Jabe Ledoux is the latest fantastic release from Inner Demon Records, pretty sure I gush over something from that label every month.

Eustress Tapes supply recent sounds from Substak as well as Cody Brant & Carl Kruger. I love the aesthetics of their tape releases - transluscent shells and misted cases make for a great thematic work. eg

Ain't they stunning :)

Tracklisting 06/11/2025:

01 VILLE RANTANEN - LOW CONTACT I (VILLE RANTANEN - BLOODKRY split)

02 BLOODKRY - KOLINAPÄÄ (VILLE RANTANEN - BLOODKRY split)

03 Wire Mothers - RAGGED (Ragged Desire)

04 Paul David Harrison - When It Can All Lie About Itself (Light Step)

05 Jabe Ledoux - Falls Breathe 3 (Falls-Breathe)

06 Substak - Cache Dust (Exolife)

07 Cordial Fare - Salt Of The Earth (How Much Is Enough)

08 Cody Brant & Carl Kruger - No One Said Anything (Nova Detour)

09 Soloman Tump - 241025

Soloman Tump - Live for Muhmur Radio, 26/10/2025

Sunday 26th October 2025, remember it well for that was the date that I performed a session for Muhmur Radio, live and direct from the SoundArt studios in Dartington.  So a massive thank you to Steve for having me along and trusting me with about 27 minutes of your show, and to Chris for being the ever wonderful host and head honcho at the studios.

I will admit to being a bit nervous beforehand, and especially when I discovered that the only other live broadcast that had gone out on Muhmur Radio was by Nocturnal Emissions in 2018.  So a true honour to be invited along and personally I think it ended up sounding "quite good".

Also thanks for the cold beer! Much appreciated on the night to help calm the nerves :)

You can find more on the full broadcast, including a tracklisting of everything else that Steve played here -

https://remuhmuration.blogspot.com/2025/10/muhmur-radio-broadcast-286-26-october.html

It turned into a solo men special, mostly (because there are always exceptions).  But I guess it shows how many guys there are out there, sat in dark rooms alone, making noises.  Perhaps we will get solo women in the future, would make for a great show.  I shall put the idea forward!

The original Muhmur setlist - slightly altered on the night

I also gave some words for a pre-match interview with Steve over email, which have been published here - https://remuhmuration.blogspot.com/2025/10/the-muhmur-radio-soloman-tump-interview.html  - after all the interviews I did for the various zines over the years, this was the first one I had ever done for someone else.  So I probably waffled on for a fair bit after being given the opportunity.

A few thoughts about the set itself;

It was partly planned, and partly improvised.

I had 3 prepared recordings that I used as baseline sound sources to play and manipulate throughout the set.  There was an oscillating sine tone,  a vocal sample from "The Age of Steam" BBC Sound Effects record, and a synth recording I previously created for one of my previous releases "Weland" - so I guess this became a live version of that track.

I recorded a few practice sessions around these samples, using them in various ways with different effects and equipment, before settling on the rig that I took to the studio. The run time left a lot of room to experiment and play around these, and luckily on the night I managed to keep roughly to the allocated time.

There was the temptation to bring along EVEN MORE KIT than I did, but after a bit of whittling down, I managed to fit everything onto an offcut of timber I found in the garage, which made transporting and setting up in the studio a lot easier.

Listening again, there were a few things I would have done differently, but thats the beauty of improvisation (and also possibly why I felt a bit nervous!).

I kept the volume out of my mixer fairly low as im not used to blasting it out too loud at home - I also wanted to keep some headroom so that I could master the recording with ease (and yes, I think I will release a 3" CDr version soon...)

One of the alternative practice recordings will feature on the next Tump Clump radio show to give an idea of how the live process works.

Overall, great fun to do this, and it has given me the itch to do it again!  Thanks again to Steve for supporting my work and giving me the desire to do more....

The Tump Clump #51 - 09/10/2025

Hello Muddy Tumpsters and welcome once again to another fun packed edition of The Tump Clump.

The Tump Clump #50 - 11/09/2025

Hello Clumpers!

So it was with great enjoyment that I put together my 50th show for SoundArt Radio (there was an extra "mixcloud only" edition on top of these). A pleasure and an honour to still be on the airwaves with them, live and direct from Dartington Hall.

Lots of unreleased / independent sounds this month, with a fairly industrial / droney kinda rhythm pulsing throughout.

  >>>MIXCLOUD ME HERE PLS<<<

I particularly enjoy the Sugababes cover by INIT that features.  I first heard this on Rinse FM over the summer, and had to instantly seek it out - found it on the artists Bandcamp page in the end. Then someone played it at this years Houghton Festival and it gained a bit more traction.  But its suitable dismal for this show and its a pleasure to play something different for you.

Also on the show, opening with a lush track by Fencepest and I urge you to check out the full album of Bloom & Decay because it is an absolute belter.

Also a couple of tracks from the RTR2 Sessions release on Burnt Seed Records.  Burnt Seed is a label based in Perth, Australia, and hopefully something new from Soloman Tump being released through them at some point in the near future.  I just need to sort out the sounds and be happy with them.  It's a forever difficult thing for me.

01 Fencepest - Decay III (Bloom & Decay) - Inner Demon Records

02 Vacant Land - Delivering Shared Ownership Homes (Strategic Flood Risk)

03 Dr Trousers - Wickerman (RTR2 Sessions) - Burnt Seed Records

04 Lürgid - Errorsion (RTR2 Sessions) - Burnt Seed Records

05 Lucidet - Sacrifice-Statistic, Ritual-Routine (Massive Machines LP)

06 Plague Arish - Gruinard-Rosen Bridge (Unreleased)

07 INIT - Overload (Sugababes cover)

08 Soloman Tump - Roamer (Unreleased)

09 Swamp Donkey - From One State Of Existence To Another (The Last Echoes Of Suns Now Dead LP) - Grimm Goat.

10 Organ Of Corti - Defuncti (Insania LP)

11 Soloman Tump - Clump Loop 3 (Unreleased)

Thanks to Plague Arish for sending me his new music.  Cheers bro.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the show over the years, especially Chris (SoundArt big boss) and Steve (Muhmur Radio) for his continued support. More to come!

There is slow progress on new Soloman Tump music, I record a load, listen back, bin about 95% of it, start again... but every now and then, a little nugget or idea comes good and it gets put in the possible/save pile.   But i'm getting there.

The Tump Clump #48 - 22/07/2025

Apologies a bit late updating this - you know how it is.

If you already listened to the show you might know i've been feeling a bit under the weather.  Household of plague strikes again.  But over the worst now, thankfully, just in time for the summer holidays....

No talking from me because my voice hurt.  Just a random little text to voice AI experiment (or 2) partway through to break the monotony.

This month, a collection of dismal sounds.

Some older, some newer.

And here's a link because it's already on mixcloud -

https://www.mixcloud.com/Soundart_Radio/the-tump-clump-edition-48-170725/

I opened with something from Feghoots that came off a tape I purchased a few years back, "Loiter Adjourned" on Beartown Records.  Marvellous.  Then a brand new thing from Shaun Robert that popped into my inbox just days before putting the show together, always a pleasure to include a track that is exactlty 4'33 long, as always.

Some things that came via lurking on Reddit, such as Astryx, Entartete Musick and Swamp Donkey, more sounds to explore from across the globe and the murky world of noise.

Can't quite remember how I discovered Saint Elisabeth, but I did, and its wonderful crunchy noise/drone wall, highly thematic and poignant.  Beautiful.

So there we go, another show for the wonderful SoundArt radio done and dusted.  Episode 50 is flying towards us at breakneck speed! Will I do something different / radical? Possibly not.  We shall see.

Thanks for listening and please support the artists played on tonights show.

01 Feghoots - Stridular Chafe

02 shaun robert - asymptotic behavior (institute for alien research)

03 Entartete Musick - Homo Strepitus

04 Kirril - ON052 - 01-23-07-23 - 07 VII (O)rmxVI+V

05 Swamp Donkey - Reel #ASP5674-1 (Out Of Focus, Out Of Empathy)

06 Thrill Behind Barks - Funky Dental Piggentwingers (A Small Quagmire)

07 Steven Leak - molybdenum  (Anniversary) - Bromtol Largesse

08 Saint Elisabeth - Aqueduct (Mechanical Antiquity)

09 Hannya White - Holding it down in Mexico

10 Astryx - Eta Carinae (Speculum Glacialis Memoriae)

11 Basic House - Nurse (Oats)

12 Uncle Grasha's Flying Circus - Air Raid- Baltic Sea 1944 (Hang On To Yourself- Noise Against Suicide)

Also, woo for the stats! 27th in the world this week for shows tagged with 'drone' on mixcloud. Hah, brilliant.

The Tump Clump #45 - 24/04/2025

Hello! Back once again sir.

But this time with a kinda dark ambient / techno spesh.

Listen to me, hear!

https://www.mixcloud.com/Soundart_Radio/the-tump-clump-edition-44-240425/

This was a pleasure to play some great dark techno stuff from artists I rate.  I listen to a lot of techno and it was fun to put some into the show tonight.  I wanted this to be a vinyl mix but last week I managed to bust the needles on a deck and I've not been able to replace it yet. To be fair they lasted quite a few years and the sound quality had been dropping lately, so I should have seen it coming.  Also, a lot of my records are getting old and they do pick up a lot of dust.  Just shows that you gotta look after your wax and your pins.  Ho hum.

But cheers to MORD Rotterdam for posting the new tapes out super quick - they seemed to arrive quicker than most domestic orders do!

Songs I did play for you tonight:

01 SHXCXCHCXSH - SHUBUBUBU  (SHULULULU EP) - Avian / Berlin

02 Mordant Arrow - Circumambulation (Death Shapes LP) - Owlripper Recordings - Czech

03 Charlton - No Sense (In Plain Sight) - MORD / Rotterdam

04 Nothingness - Memento Mori (Into The Valleys Of Murk) - MIST / Brazil

05 Surgeon -  Discipline (Body Request LP) - Dynamic Tension (own label) - UK

06 LEE RILEY - LIFTING UNDERTOW (FROM HERE WE ARE NOWHERE) - S/R - Oxford

07 VFH - weird loser (Blub Blub Blub EP) - Larry Crywater Tapes - Nottingham

08 Phase Fatale - Empty Whip (Reverse Fall) - Ostgut Ton / Berlin

09 Beyond Abyss - Movement II (Into The Valleys Of Murk) - MIST Brazil

10 Wernyhora Nadchodzi - ...c.n K....s (Vertical Spectrum) - MORD / Rotterdam

11 Autechre - shimripl air (NTS Sessions 4) - WARP Recordings - Sheffield / London

12 Photophobik - Mutilage (Dystonium LP) - Molt Fluid / Edinburgh

Thanks for listening and hope the soundtrack was still dismal enough for you! A few Tump Clump regulars still in there, but some new artists / labels that I would not normally get to play.  Get in touch and let me know what you think of the selection please.

The Tump Clump #44 - 27/03/2025

Edition 44 of my little radio show, huzzah.

And still slightly suffering with weird spring flu / sinusitis / melancholy, but hey, Spring is kinda here and we can all breath a sigh of relief and go outside, touch some grass, hug a tree, smile at the sun a bit.

This time around I had the honour of playing the following things, which you can search for and find online at the your repository (mostly bandcamp I guess...)

Although if you are lucky you might be able to find a cassette tape at your local record store still? Who knows! Please support the artists played in tonights show, buy their stuff, listen/stream and share the knowledge around if you enjoy what you hear.  Because that after all is the point.

Hello once again t-rave-llers,

Another 4 weeks has passed and another Tump Clump is committed to the airwaves via SounDART radio.

For this show I offer you the following sounds, a few Tump Clump regulars once again bring some great new sounds - Disgusting Cathedral who appeared on the very first Tump Clump back in 2021 for example, oh and regular Ekoplekz who ive most likely played more of than anyone else.  And I don't even get commission :)

Included in this show tonight is a 10 minute snippet of a live recording of Soloman Tump sounds, created in preparation for the Acid Morris Wassail that happened last month but unfortunately not a gig I was able to attend and perform at.  So this is perhaps a taster of what was missed.  You may or may not think this was a good thing after listening!

Disgusting Cathedral - Inarticulate Warlock (Moths Drink the Tears of Sleeping Birds)

Mademoiselle Marchand - Architecture V (Inner Demon Records)

Nichole & Paul Pichon - A fine (Craft Crates)

bigroadbreaker - Dome (Disterplication - Collected Works Volume 2 (1997-2000))

Chelidon Frame - Nvs_k3 (Framework)

Soloman Tump - Live session preparing for the Acid Morris 24hr Wassail

Ekoplekz - Luminate Verzion (Live In The Eko Chamber)

Basic House - AR II (Oats) - Opal Tapes

False Maria - Why Would I Follow That (Letting Go)

German Army - German Army - Valley Maidu (Biloxi)

Edit.... oops sorry, wrote this a couple of weeks back and forgot to hit "submit"! D'oh

11 Plague Arish & Soloman Tump - This is what I then did to it 3 years later (Unreleased)

This time I include a track of my own paying tribute to David Lynch who passed away last week.  Director, Artist, Musician, Dreamer.  Not many days go by when I don't think about some of his work - be it Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Inland Empire, his music, the soundtracks to his work, endlessly entertaining and thought provoking.  I knew he will ill and it was only going to be a matter of time, but this still hit me hard.  I was also a fan of his version of Dune, as I watched it not long after reading through the books in secondary school.

Lynch took his dreams and made them real through his work.  A true visionary who inspired me to do the same, in my own little way.

I also mentioned in the show that I was unable to make the Acid Morris Wassail gig a few weeks back - I saw a few photos on Instagram which made it look like it was a great party.  Hope I can attend another of their events at some point.

Also, Tump Clump (long edition) never happened in January as I had some family issues to deal with.  Hopefully it sees the light of day sometime in the future as I enjoyed being able to incorporate some longer tracks and different themes into the special show.

So, a strange start to 2025.  Hopefully February will be a bit more predictable!

The Tump Clump #41 - 19/12/24 - Festive Spesh

Hello!

And welcome to a slightly festive edition of The Tump Clump, episode 41, first airing on SoundArt Radio FM live and direct from Dartington Hall in Totnes, Devon. And of course streamed live via the website worldwide, and also archived over on Mixcloud here -

https://www.mixcloud.com/Soundart_Radio/the-tump-clump-41-191224/

Slightly condensed blog post this time because im writing this on Christmas Day evening and tbh im tired/bloated from slight excess and I want to watch another episode of LOST before I pass out for good.  So, here's the tunes played on this months show:

1. There Are No Birds Here - Do You Hear What I Hear (Good Tidings Compilation, V/A via Sunfish Starfish) in aid of the Marine Conservation Society.

2. IEOGM - First and last house (Dolphins in Cornwall) - Molt Fluid

3. BRB Voicemail - Fatima (Alms of Guilt)

4. Amhain - 11 Tal4 (Amhain Comp V)

5. Ekoplekz - CASIOPLEKZ  (Memowrekz)

12. Pettaluck - White Saviour Christmas (Good Tidings)

Thanks for tuning in to my shows in 2024, more to come in 2025 of course! Kicking off with an extended January special where I get to play some extra long tracks just because I can! Exciting times.  It will be broadcast on SoundArt (time/date tbc) but also will find its way onto Mixcloud too.

Also a Soloman Tump live session coming soon - see separate post!
