I like to do a little round up of the year to sort of summarise achievements and keep me motivated for what else could come. So here we go.
- Jan-Feb: A very slow start to 2025 due to various family and friends crises; not a year to remember for many reasons. But, I clawed through....
- March: Released a live album "Ritual" - which replaced the gig I had to miss out on for the Acid Morris at ThingsHappenHere in January.
- April - May: Recording and scheming the new album....
- July: Re-released "Bun Rights" digitally as "More Bun Rights" with a couple of bonus tracks from the same sessions and photo - now available as pay-what-you-want. Originally released on cassette via Human Geography Recordings in 2023.
- August: A 60 second collage track created for then played on the Hello Goodbye Radio Show on Resonance FM with Dexter Bentley.
- August: A collaborative track with Stuart Chalmers "Bloodmoonthorn" which formed part of his ongoing Resonant Landscapes series. Always a pleasure to collaborate with someone new, and this track worked out well. An alternative version / mix of this collaboration ended up on my Open Access Land album a few months later, which I felt was a highlight too.
- September: The long awaited book by Himukalt "Sex Works" is finished - and it is wonderful to see in print. The book includes the Intrusive Signals #3 interview I conducted over email with Ester; some copies can still be found online from the manufacturer but might be costly to ship to the UK.... I am very grateful for having my words included in such an intimate and passionate project.
- October: Released "Open Access Land" - album as limited CDr and digital. A couple of CDr's still available and i'll even chuck in a sticker now (pictured above). I was pleased with how this album came together, which is the main thing.
- October: Provided a track for "𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚒𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚟𝚗𝚛𝚡𝚡𝚡𝚡𝚟" from the Vacuum Noise Records Group. 'Hundatorra' was a track recorded in the Open Access Land sessions but didn't quite fit with the rest as far as I was concerned. I think it sat nicely in this Halloween themed noise compilation though.
- October: A busy month! Ending with a live show for Muhmur Radio which you can still find on Mixcloud here, as well as an interview with Steve here. Very grateful for having the opportunity to perform some live sounds, and I was pretty chuffed with how the session went.
- November - December: Plotting and scheming things for 2026......
- Plus of course 12 new Tump Clump radio shows throughout the year. And maybe a bonus 13th show that will make the SoundArt Christmas playlist if I pull my finger out....
It never feels like much until I write it all down. So a good year overall it seems.
Thanks for listening to my sounds, be they my own Soloman Tump productions or other people's work via the radio show. Please support the artists I play, it helps them want to make more!
If you want a Soloman Tump sticker, hollar and I shall get on in the post. Especially if you have a sticker you can send me in return. My studio wall is looking pretty stickerlific these days.
Stickers.
Andrew Tump.
