• Ahrimanic - Hubris Shattered Paradise (Flowers In The Abyss) - dense ritual drones from a London based artist I recently discovered via Reddit.  Thanks for the free download codes! 
• C u r s u s - Kist (C u r c u s ) - TQN-Aut - Yorkshire found sounds and arrangements into interesting compositions. From the much missed TQN-Aut label in 2019.  Pay what you like!
• CHAPMAN - SNARL 4 (Snarl - Free download! Great thumping noise hammerings from Paul Harrison.  
• Paradox Encounter Group & Soloman Tump - P plays with A sounds 5 (soloman noise with rising drone) (Unreleased).  Unused weird drone track, culled from the sessions of our forthcoming tape release on Tone Burst. 
• Dylan M Howe - Electric Street (OG) (Criterion Summer) - Dub Cthonic - great Cornish label, releasing limited run psychedelic tapes.  "This album is dedicated to the vast and varied geography of Central Oregon." - and it's a great tape! 
• Torschlusspanik - Gerascophobia (Intersexual Healing) - NoRent - NoRent bring the goods once again, this time with a wild scramble of sounds mashed into a sonic collage of intense feelings.  Interviews with people discovering themselves and lamenting their experiences. 
• Niacinamide - Superficial Indications (Noise as a form of Expression volume 1) - Drama Recorder
• Unknown Colours - Headcase (Noise as a form of Expression volume 1) - Drama Recorder
• Steckdose - syro deg deg (Fflint) - 2 tracks from a pretty important various artists compilation released via Spanish label Drama Recorder at the end of 2022.  56 tracks, all seemingly kept to a reasonable run time of under 5 minutes each, and I could have picked any of them to play here.  Some great quality throughout, I also recommend the tracks by Pillars of Golden Misery, The Owl, Sara Ohm and James Nathan Powell.  A great way to spend 3.5 hours picking out some new gems. 
• 孙 一舟 (Sun Yizhou) - 毁了 - tm (Ruin) - Brachliegen Tapes - fast becoming one of my favourite labels to check out here in the UK, they really search out some interesting sounds to commit to tape (and occasionally vinyl).  Experimental junk noise vibes are the order of the day here, but thoughtfully constructed with a sense of purpose. 

and at the very end... some found sounds from me, recorded in an industrial workshop sometime in 2021, rain splattering through a hole in the roof into a bucket.  I hope you enjoy.

Welcome to 2023. 

Some exciting things afoot!

• Tump Clump episode 19 airs on SoundArt radio this week (post to follow with tracklisting and links, etc)
• Soloman Tump collaborative album, produced alongside Paradox Encounter Group coming soon on cassette tape and digital via Tone Burst.
• New audio/visual feast for Wonder Valley Experimental 15 virtual edition
• Intrusive Signals issue 4 - I started making some enquiries and content might start coming together soon.  It will be a slightly smaller page count than previous issues so I dont get stung for postage as bad as issue 3....

Yeah so im pretty busy with my new irl job but i've decided to try and keep up with the zines / music / stuff because I love it.

New content for those who listen to The Tump Dump

2022 thing what I did

I like putting together an end of year "achievements" list because otherwise I feel like I have not done much.  I guess it helps put it all into context that I do actually get some stuff sorted, which is nice.

So in 2022 I managed to:

• Release "Intrusive Signals" zine issue 3 (still a handful of copies left at a bargain bin price if you want one) - see here.
• Release a super limited split tape with Plague Arish for Supernormal Festival.
• Dump out a trio of digital-only EPs (Gritonometry and Safehouse Demo(n)s as Soloman Tump, and стіна as Postman Lomu). 
• Complete the folk-horror 3" CDr trilogy that started with Grim's Ditch and Weland, capping off with the Palimpsest EP
• Start the Palimpsest live document of archival "live" recordings.  I didn't add as many to this as I had hoped, but I shall update it soon with some new bits.
• Get a couple of articles published in the ever-impressive TQ Zine - cheers! Look out for my extended SPL/IT article in issue 57. 
• also had an article included in the impressive tome-like Supernormal zine
• Release a collaborative album alongside Distraxi on CD - DARTMOOR ELECTRONICS.  I am pretty proud of this one, its pretty brutal and I love the work Distraxi does.  
• Put together 10 new radio shows of The Tump Clump.
• Collaborate with Arachnopus on a live audio/visual piece for Wonder Valley Experimental festival in California for Phog Masheeen
• Unleash a fairly banging guest radio mix for WCR Dark Train - a great show for Warminster Community Radio that always brings new music to my ears.  Check it out
• Get to a few festivals and shows which felt damn good!
• Get some tracks on various compilation releases including bits for Moon Musiq, Front & Follow, Owlripper Recordings, Camembert Electrique, godNOISEgod - more details of each of these elsewhere on the blog.

So when I write it out like that, I guess I have achieved some things.  2023 might be quieter, I don't really have any plans for new zines (at present) but I hope to continue with releasing music and doing the radio show....
